We believe in young people and share the hope-filled message of Jesus with them.
London is one of the first four cities of Young Life’s Global Cities initiative, along with New York, Hong Kong & Los Angeles
The Story So Far...
Brixton. Young people. Jesus. There’s immense need as well as massive opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the diverse young people of London.
Brixton and Clapham are located in Lambeth, just south of Waterloo. Brixton is known as a lively area in London, with a mix of communities forming its vibrant and bustling culture. Most, if not all, boroughs have estates (government provided housing), but a few communities like Brixton specifically have a reputation for poverty, gangs and violence.
Young Life International is working on the 60:40 Project in Brixton with Ascension Trust, London City Mission and Lambeth Methodist Circuit, joining in, building and leading a world-class team of staff and volunteers throughout Brixton.
Young Life is getting involved with the community by reaching out to young people directly, growing a team of staff and volunteers and developing relationships with churches, charities and local authorities.
